History

In 2019, while searching for a location to develop a lodging project, I found a plot of land in the mountains of Santa Elena with a spectacular view of the city of Medellín. The incredible thing was that I wasn’t looking for a cold climate; I wanted warm land, but something about this mountain captivated me.

We began constructing four cabins, all with the same design but each with a different viewing angle. None missed out on the panoramic view of the city and the mountain. We encountered countless setbacks during this period, but nothing could be stronger than the desire to turn this dream into reality.

Then the pandemic hit, forcing us to suspend construction for several months, but we didn’t give up and waited to begin offering the Skyline experience. The moment finally arrived… and as we continued working on many details, guests began to arrive.

As we hosted guests, we realized our project needed more and more details. We faced situations that made us think it might not be viable and that it was better to give up, but in the end, our faith remained intact, and today we continue with the same enthusiasm.

The mountain has taught us that gold is green, its abundance knows no limits, and we are guardians of its existence. Therefore, our focus is on sustainability; we have a solar energy system connected to each cabin, a rainwater collection system, a purification system for that water, and we have planted over 500 native trees and continue to count.

We want you to live a unique experience: rest, tranquility, and silence are fundamental components of our guests’ stay, along with an enjoyable symphony of sounds from local birds and the trees themselves, which seem to convey a message.

Skyline has grown significantly in the past three years, and we do not intend to stop. We generate employment for locals and city residents, support the children of Santa Elena through our foundation, and aim to continue taking care of this beautiful place.

We want the whole world to know this paradise, to leave behind anger and all that makes us live in a hurry, and to enjoy our mountain. We are a green lung that adorns the city of Medellín, and we strive to continue offering responsible and sustainable tourism, supporting the growth of Santa Elena, and preserving its traditions.
